Empuriabrava is no more no less a paradise. Yes, we know it sounds pretentious, but let's face it: we love our place ant that's how we love to talk about it!

We feel that our town is the capital of the world, our most important centre and we would like you to think and feel the same.

It is strategically placed between the rivers Muga and Salins, situated right in the middle of the bay of Roses and the Costa Brava north. It is located at only 40 Km. from the French border, 50 Km. from Girona, the capital of the province, and 150 Km. away from Barcelona.

Good communication of roads and sea (Empuriabrava has a port) and even by air (it has also got a light aircraft airport) but important airports nearby like Girona and Perpignan.

But, why do we say it is a paradise? Some would say, easy because that's what it is, and they will give you the reasons:

It means that this allows the majority of people the luxury of having their own boat moored outside the vouse. All of these added to the peace and quiet one can enjoy its subsequent relaxation on one side and the continuos fiestas and night life on the other.

. because it is surrounded by the beautiful Wetlands of Empordà (Aiguamolls de l'Empordà), which have access on foot or by bicycle.

. because of its historical nucleus so popular and admired as is Castelló d'Empúries, with its Gothic Cathedral wich has to be visited as well as the rest of the town, the Jail, Santa Clara Convent, etc...

. because so near ther are essential cultural visits,  like the well known Dali Route (with the Theatre Museum in Figueres, the house in Port-Lligat and the castle in Pubol), the Monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes, the Roses citadel and the of Greek and Roman ruins of Empuries or the Iberian remains of Ullastret.

. because from Empuriabrava you can organize lots of different excursions, for instance,, the Jewish Old Center of Girona, Cadaqués, The Banyoles Lake, Roses' Water Park, Besalú, or simply the protected nature areas of Cap de Creus or l'Albera.
